DEPOK - The implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Program in Depok City, West Java, will be temporarily stopped during the school holidays. This policy refers to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Circular (SE) Number 12 of 2026 concerning the Adjustment of Operational Units for Nutrition Fulfillment Services (SPPG) during the Holiday Period in the Implementation of the MBG Program.

The Regional Coordinator (Korwil) of the Depok City BGN, Rakha Pratama, asked all SPPG managers in his area to comply with and implement the new provisions contained in the SE.

"Pedomani and implement the SE issued by BGN regarding operational adjustments during school holidays," said Rakha in Depok, Friday, June 19.

Rakha explained that the temporary suspension of MBG operations not only targeted students, but also applied absolutely to all non-student beneficiary groups. Among them are pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers (Group 3B).

This adjustment step is taken to optimize operational governance, budget efficiency, and standardization of the implementation of the MBG Program at each SPPG. In addition, this policy aims to standardize the distribution system and service schedule for all target beneficiaries during the long holiday period.

To ensure that the policy is carried out according to procedures, the Depok City BGN will tighten monitoring at the field level through multi-level coordination.

"We will monitor and coordinate with all sub-district coordinators (korcam) and the head of the SPPG in the Depok City area," he said.

Regarding the termination timeline, Rakha added that the MBG service break schedule will be adjusted to the official education calendar at each target school.

"For the schedule for distributing reports, each school is usually different. The latest information is between June 24 to 26," said Rakha.
