Polda Metro Jaya Ensures Investigation Of Arya Daru's Case Continues

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya confirmed that the investigation into the death of the Deputy Diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) Arya Daru Pratama (ADP) is still ongoing and has not been stopped. A number of requests from families and legal assistants, including the exhumation and fingerprint analysis, are said to remain part of the investigator's investigation.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Bhudi Hermanto said, of the three fingerprints previously presented by investigators, only one could be identified. The remaining two could not be tested further due to weather factors and surface types.

Budi emphasized that any new information is still open to analysis, including allegations of other parties controlling the deceased's social media accounts.

"Regarding this allegation, we will coordinate with competent parties, namely Meta," he said.

He added that investigators remain committed to resolving the case until it is clear.

"Investigators have not stopped the investigation because any new information and facts will continue to be investigated," he concluded.

Previously, the attorney for the family of the late Arya Daru Parlaungan (ADP), Nicholay Aprilindo, encouraged the Polda Metro Jaya to immediately file a case related to the death of the Deputy Diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu).

He emphasized that the family does not mind if all information is disclosed to the public because there is no privacy that needs to be covered up.

This statement was made by Nicholay after fulfilling the audience invitation at the Polda Metro Jaya on Wednesday, November 24, 2025. The invitation was addressed to the deceased's biological father, Suharyono, and the wife of the deceased, Vita Meta Ayu.

"We ask that the title of the case be carried out immediately. In the title of the case, we also ask for an increase in status to investigation, so that there are legal remedies and forced efforts against parties suspected of being involved in this mysterious death," he said.

Arya Daru Pangayunan was found dead in his boarding room on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. He was found lying on a bed with his head wrapped in duct tape and his body covered in a blanket.
