Bedouin Residents Are Asked Not To Sell Honey To Jakarta

JAKARTA - Bedouin residents in the interior of Lebak Regency, Banten are temporarily asked not to sell honey to Jakarta in the aftermath of a robbery crime that occurred in the residents of Badui Dalam, Repan (16).

"We ask residents to temporarily sell honey around the Banten area," said Secretary of Kanekes Village, Lebak Medi Regency in Rangkasbitung, Lebak, Saturday.

In the future, continued Medi, the village government and traditional leaders will appeal to Bedouin residents who sell to Jakarta to come in groups to avoid unwanted things.

In addition, selling is not allowed to walk at night until the early hours of the morning, because crime has the opportunity to occur twice compared to during the day.

"We hope that the case that happened to Repan will not happen again to Bedouin residents who sell honey," added Medi.

Repan, who was a victim of a robbery crime in the Rawasari Cempaka Putih area, Central Jakarta, Sunday (26/10), is already in Cikeusik Village, the Inner Bedouin area.

For the case experienced by Repan, the customary party hopes that the police can reveal and arrest the perpetrators and process them legally.

"We hope that this crime case will not happen again," said Medi.

Meanwhile, Santa (55), a Bedouin honey trader, confirmed that for the time being there was an appeal not to sell honey to Jakarta.
