"The victim was Saidatul Fitriyah (27), a PPPK teacher at SMP Negeri 46 OKU who was found dead in his boarding room in the morning at around 06.30 WIB," said OKU Police Chief AKPB Endro Aribowo in Baturaja, Thursday, November 20.

He said the victim was first found by a neighbor with her hands and feet tied in a boarding house belonging to Andi Rafles, a local resident.

"The witnesses found the victim was dead with his hands and feet tied. It is strongly suspected that the victim was killed," he said.

This was reinforced by the results of the examination at the Ibnu Sutowo Hospital, Baturaja, which found a number of bruises, including the right thigh, right forehead, wrist and leg bruises which were allegedly caused by snares.

The victim also suffered injuries under his right ear and swelling of the mouth which was also suspected to be due to rope entanglement.

In this case, the police secured a number of evidences from the crime scene (TKP) including one mobile phone unit, victim's clothes, one pair of brown cloth gloves and a black rubber rope.

Until now, he said, the police were still investigating and examining a number of witnesses to reveal the perpetrator and the motive behind the tragic incident.
