JAKARTA - Head of DKI Jakarta Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD) Pujiono resigned from his position due to his inability to fix the problem of regional assets that could not be inventoried.
Chairman of Commission A DKI Regional House of Representatives Mujiyono said that asset management in DKI has always been problematic. Therefore, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan must take extreme steps to solve it.
"It takes extreme steps or policies. However, there could be a risk of legal problems at a later date", Mujiyono told VOI, Thursday, May 20.
One of the extreme means is the elimination of assets. However, Mujiyono said that Anies should submit the write-off of the list of assets he could not find physically to the DKI Regional House of Representatives.
"The elimination of assets cannot be done only by making governor regulations. However, it must also be discussed with the DKI Regional House of Representatives to form regional regulations", he said.
However, Anies must be careful and ready to face legal problems. This is because an asset can be written off. After all, it has not been inventoried for 20 years, then one day the asset is discovered.
Therefore, the regional head must be accountable for the ownership of these assets. "This is, there must be courage from the Regional head", said Mujiyono.
Regarding the resignation, the subordinate of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan will resign from his position on May 17, 2021. The reason is that Pujiono feels unable to fix the problem of asset inventory in DKI.
"Mr. Pujiono got the task of managing assets. He resigned, the reason was that he felt he was not successful in carrying out his duties as Head of Regional Asset Management Agency, felt that he was not able to solve our asset problems", said Mujiyono.

Mujiyono said, indeed there are many regional assets whose physical status has not been found. So, when the fasos-fasum wants to be taken over by the DKI Provincial Government, it cannot be done, and eventually, the assets are not inventoried.
"For example, housing A must submit social and public facilities to the state with a count of this. But sometimes it has not been submitted for years. Because it has been too long, the developer is no longer there", explained Mujiyono.
"It could be that the company has gone bankrupt or changed its name. In the end, the Regional Budget cannot enter the social and public facilities that have not been inventoried by the assets of DKI", he added.
