Ingkong said that the potential for large fisheries in Kaltara is very large, ranging from capture fisheries to cultivation.
"However, Kaltara still needs the right infrastructure, technology and policy support from the central government," he said.
"For this reason, we ask for the support of Commission IV of the DPR RI to be able to accelerate the development of supporting infrastructure, such as laboratories and other supporting equipment," he added.
Responding to this, Member of Commission IV DPR RI, Hasan Saleh welcomed this initiative and promised to forward it to the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries.
"This meeting is a concrete first step to increase the production of the marine and fisheries sector in Kaltara. The synergy between the executive and the legislature is considered crucial to solve challenges and ensure development runs according to government programs and targets as well as the needs of local communities, especially in Kaltara," he said.
