Supreme Court Rejects PK Jessica Wongso Again

JAKARTA - The Supreme Court (MA) has again rejected Jessica Wongso's request for judicial review (PK) regarding the murder case of Wayan Mirna Salihin.

Meanwhile, the decision was repeated on the MA website which is registered with number 78/PK/PID/2025.

"The verdict: refuse," reads the verdict quoted on Friday, August 15.

The PK proposed by Jessica Wongso is known to be tried by Supreme Court Justice Dwiarso Budi Santiarto as chairman of the assembly and Supreme Court Justice Yanto and Achmad Setyo Pudjoharsoyo as members.

Thus, it was recorded that twice the legal action in the form of PK by Jessica Wongso ran aground.

It is known, Jessica Kumala Wongso first submitted a PK in 2018. At that time, the Supreme Court decided to reject the request.

Reporting from the official website MA, www.mahmahagung.go.id, the case with register number 69 PK/PID/2018 was decided on December 3, 2018.

Then the second PK application was known to be registered on October 9. The application was registered with file number No.7/Akta.Pid.B/2024/PN.Jkt.Pst.

As a reminder, Jessica Kumala Wongso has been sentenced to 20 years after being proven to have committed premeditated murder against Wayan Mirna Salahin. The murder was carried out by inserting cyanide poison into the coffee that Mirna drank.

Despite being decided for 20 years, now Jessica is actually breathing free air faster, after getting a remission of 58 months 30 days. Conditional release (PB) for Jesssica based on the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number PAS-1703.PK.05.09 of 2024.
