The Central Java High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) confiscated Rp13 billion in money in the investigation into the alleged corruption case in land acquisition in one of the Regional Owned Enterprises (BUMD) of the Cilacap Regency Government, with a loss of around Rp237 billion.

Assistant for Special Crimes at the Central Java Prosecutor's Office, Lukas Alexander Sinuraya, said the confiscation came from the development of the case against the suspect ANH, former Director of PT Rumpun Sari Antan (RSA).

The money confiscated was a down payment for the purchase of a rice factory in Klaten by the suspect.

"From the agreed purchase price of Rp. 50 billion, only Rp. 13 billion was paid in advance (DP)," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 16.

According to him, the confiscation of money allegedly originating from the proceeds of corruption was part of saving state losses.

He said investigators were also investigating the alleged money laundering crime committed by the defendant in the case.

The alleged corruption that cost the state hundreds of billions of rupiah began when PT Cilacap Segara Artha, as a BUMD belonging to the Cilacap Regency Government, purchased land belonging to PT Rumpun Sari Antan.

Tanah seluas 700 ha dibeli dan telah dibayar lunas oleh PT Cilacap Segara Artha pada tahun 2023 hingga 2024.

However, for the purchase, PT CSA could not control the land that had been paid in full.

The land sold by PT Rumpun Sari Antan is land that is still under the control of Kodam IV/Diponegoro.

Apart from ANH, the prosecutor's office has also named the former Acting Regent of Cilacap, AM and Commissioner of PT Cilacap Segara Artha, IZ, as suspects.
