The Perpetrator Of The Murder Of A Traditional Woman In Blitar Was Arrested, The Motive Was Jealousy

The Blitar Resort Police (Polres), East Java, arrested the alleged perpetrator of the murder of a tattooed woman whose body was found on the edge of the highway, Popoh Village, Selopuro District, Blitar Regency.

Blitar Deputy Police Chief Kompol Fadillah Langko Kasim Panara said the alleged perpetrator had the initials MCH (28), a resident of Pusoclaten District, who is the victim's lover, DTO (21), a resident of Purworejo Hamlet, Pusoklaten District, Kediri Regency.

"From the findings in the Blitar Police Satreskrim field, assisted by the Kediri Police Satreskrim, it was less than 1x24 hours to secure the alleged perpetrator of the murder," he said in Blitar, Tuesday, July 8.

The case began with a report on the discovery of the victim's body on Jalan Raya Popoh, Popoh Village, Selopuro District, Blitar Regency, on Monday (7/7). Residents reported it to the village apparatus which was forwarded to the police.

The police who received the information went directly to the scene and evacuated the unidentified woman's body. The body was taken to the hospital for examination.

The officers then conducted an investigation and found that the victim was a resident of Kediri and immediately carried out further investigations.

Based on further information, the victim worked in a cafe in the Mangunharjo Village area, Ngadiluwih District, Kediri Regency. From the results of the witness examination, the victim was picked up by his girlfriend MCH, on Sunday (6/7) night.

The police then looked for the MCH who was known to have fled, but was arrested on Jalan Raya Bawen, Semarang Regency, when they were about to go to his brother's house.

During the investigation, the perpetrator admitted that he had killed the victim. The motive for the murder was suspected to be jealousy, because the victim was in a relationship with another man.

"This victim was invited to watch the carnival in Nganjuk, then there was an argument so he didn't watch and returned to Kediri and the quarrel continued and then there was persecution. The victim was weak and was taken by the alleged perpetrator, will be thrown south, into a deserted forest," he said.

However, when passing through the Blitar area, the victims were weak and the motorcycle fuel (BBM) they were riding ran out. The perpetrator then put the victim on the side of the road.

The perpetrators also destroyed and threw away the victim's cell phone to eliminate traces.

In this case, the police confiscated a number of evidences including a motorcycle with number AG 6187 EBB, one black shirt, one jinn shorts, two cell phones and several other evidences.

The police charged him with Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning Premeditated Murder with the death penalty or life imprisonment or for a certain period of time, a maximum of 20 years.
