JAKARTA - Former US President Donald Trump has launched a space on his personal website, where he posts messages that can be shared with others on Twitter and Facebook, two social media on which Trump is prohibited from 'doing activities'.

The move came a day before a decision by Facebook Inc's supervisory board on Trump's indefinite suspension on the platform. Trump himself is known to be barred from accessing various social media platforms after his supporters stormed Capitol Hill, Washington DC on January 6.

Donald Trump's senior adviser, Jason Miller, said in a post on Twitter that this collection of posts was not a social media platform Trump was planning to launch.

"We'll have additional information on that in the near future", Miller.

The feature was first reported by Fox News as 'From Donald J. Trump's Desk' and contains posts from Trump that can be shared and liked. A source with knowledge of this said the feature was built by Campaign Nucleus, a digital services company created by former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale.

To note, Twitter Inc and Facebook have both removed content posted from other accounts, which they say is trying to circumvent their ban on Trump.

A Twitter spokesperson said sharing content from the website would be permitted as long as the material did not violate Twitter's rules. However, attempts to avoid suspension will not be permitted, for example impersonating a suspended account to try to replace it.

Meanwhile, Facebook did not immediately respond to a request for comment about how it would treat posts shared from the new space.

To note, Twitter is a social media that is often used by Donald Trump which has 88 million Twitter followers issuing a permanent ban on Trump, including if Trump will run again in the United States Presidential Election. Alphabet Inc.'s YouTube, meanwhile, said it would restore Trump's channel when it decided the risk of violence had reduced.
