JAKARTA - In commemoration of the 2025 World Immunization Week, PT Etana Biotechnologies Indonesia (Etana) collaborated with the Bogor City Government to organize vaccination activities for children. A total of 2,081 doses of Hepatitis A and PCV13 vaccines were distributed in activities at Bogor City Hall, Boxies Mall, and a number of schools.
Director of Anti-Infectious Business Unit Etana Indra Lamora said that this collaboration was a reaffirmation of Etana's commitment to supporting the national immunization program.
"As a vaccine manufacturer, Etana plays an important role in providing safe, effective, and affordable vaccine access for the Indonesian people. In line with the 2025 Etana National Immunization Week, providing 1,081 doses of hepatitis A vaccine for elementary school (SD) students and 1,000 doses of PCV-13 vaccine for early Childhood Education (PAUD) and Kindergarten (TK) children," said Indra when met at the event location at Bogor City Hall, Wednesday, April 30.
Indra explained that one of the main challenges in expanding the coverage of immunization in Indonesia is the low understanding and public trust in the importance of vaccination. For this reason, Etana collaborates with various parties such as the Government, Health Institutions, Educational Institutions, to the Indonesian National Sports Committee, as well as other related parties to increase public understanding and trust in the importance of immunization.
"We believe that Indonesia's health future will be stronger through close collaboration between the government, industry, academics, and society in creating a sustainable health ecosystem," said Indra.
Through this collaboration, Etana also hopes to continue to support the government's efforts to realize national independence, especially in the field of biofarmation, by producing high quality, affordable and innovative biological and vaccine products. This step is a form of Etana's support for the Government in achieving resilience and preparedness in the face of infectious diseases or potential pandemics in the future.
"In the future, Etana will continue to strive to produce domestic vaccines, as a strategic step to help reduce Indonesia's dependence on vaccine imports," concluded Indra.

On the same occasion, Bogor Mayor Dedie Rachim welcomed this collaboration and conveyed the importance of raising awareness to build a healthier future generation.
"Etana Biotechnologies earlier triggered them, so that awareness arises in them. If they don't build awareness for vaccine injections, live a healthy, productive life, of course, our children won't be able to compete because with vaccines, God willing, their quality of life will be better," concluded Dedie.
