JAKARTA - Foreign Minister Sugiono said that the signing of Indonesia's strategic partnership with Denmark is expected to bring concrete and more advanced cooperation, strengthening the foundation of relations between the two countries.

In this meeting, Foreign Minister Sugiono and Foreign Minister Rasmussen discussed various important issues related to cooperation in the fields of trade and investment, to strategic areas such as food, agriculture, and renewable energy.
"Denmark is one of our very important partners in the Nordic Area," said Foreign Minister Sugiono.
"Indonesia-Denmark trade value reached 403.2 million US dollars in 2024, an increase of almost 10 percent," he added.
Furthermore, the two foreign ministers agreed that there is still an opportunity to increase cooperation between the two countries in the future, both in trade and in investment.
The meeting of the two main diplomats of each country was also attended by the signing of the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for 2025-2029, Plan of Action "a Strategic Partnership for a Sustainable and Resilience Future".
The action plan contains a map of cooperation in various fields, including economy, trade and investment, maritime and transportation, climate change and green energy transition, the environment, food and agriculture, good governance, as well as culture, education and tourism.
"With the signing of PoA, we hope that there will be concrete and more advanced cooperation in the future between the two countries," said Foreign Minister Sugiono.
Through the Action Plan, Denmark will, among other things, provide support for Indonesian MSMEs to be able to meet export standards and opportunities to access the European Union market through Denmark.
In the field of the environment, cooperation in waste processing and the circular economy is one of the main programs.
