JAKARTA - Farizon officially started assembling new energy commercial vehicles (NEV) in Indonesia. The model assembled at PT Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) facilities, Purwakarta is the Farizon V8E Cargo Van.
Its production capacity is still being made gradually by considering the development of the new energy commercial vehicle market in Indonesia, and currently it is revealed to reach 80 units per month.
"The assembly of the V8 Kita earlier was a month, about 80 units. This is a step. We want to see what the market conditions are like," said Director of PT Arista Manufacturing Indonesia, Christoforus Ronny, when met in Purwakarta, Thursday, August 13.
With an initial capacity of around 80 units per month, the production of the Farizon V8E in Indonesia can later be adjusted to market needs. This step is taken to show that the localization process is carried out gradually, in line with the growth in demand for new energy commercial vehicles.
On the other hand, the level of domestic content (TKDN) is also one of the aspects that are being prepared. Ronny said his party estimated that the potential for Farizon V8E's TKDN was in the range of 40 percent.
"For TKDN, we estimate that now the prospects will be 40 percent. But this is not yet the certification we have submitted," he added.
In addition, for the initial phase, the investment prepared to support the production process of the Farizon V8E Cargo Van reaches between IDR 40-50 billion (for one model)
"The range is yes, plus minus it is Rp40-50 M (billion). This is for one model, but there are other models that are common (the same). At most, the addition is not much," said Ronny.
The investment includes a number of equipment needed for the vehicle assembly process. Starting from filing machines, couplers, jigs, to various special tools.
