KPU Reveals Re-voting In 4 Regencies March 22 Runs Smoothly

Chairman of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU) Mochammad Afifuddin said the re-voting (PSU) in 4 districts on Saturday, March 22, 2025 was running in an orderly and smooth manner.

"In the 2024 Election Result Dispute (PHP), the Constitutional Court (MK) Decision has decided that 24 regions will be held by PSU, namely 1 for the election of governors and deputy governors, 20 for the election of regents and deputy regents, and 3 for the election of mayors and deputy mayors," Afifuddin said in his statement, Monday, March 24, quoted by Antara.

As for the 24 regions, there were 4 regions that had been carried out earlier by the PSU, namely on Saturday, March 22, 2025, namely Siak Regency (Riau Province), West Bangka (Bangka Belitung Islands), North Barito (Central Kalimantan) and Magetan (East Java).

This is considering that the Constitutional Court's decision has given the implementation period of 30 days since the Constitutional Court's decision is read out, with the following details:

1. Case Number 73/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 (Corruption of Regent and Deputy Regent of Siak), PSU 2 TPS and 1 Special Hospital TPS within a period of 30 days.2. Case Number 99/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 (Corruption of Regent and Deputy Regent of West Bangka), PSU 4 TPS within a period of 30 days.3. Case Number 28/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 (Corruption of Regent and Deputy Regent of North Barito), PSU 2 TPS within a period of 30 days.4. Case Number 30/PHPU.BUP-XIIII/2025 (Election of Regent and Deputy Regent of Magetan), PSU 4 TPS within a period of 30 days.

Afifuddin revealed that the PSU in Siak, West Bangka, North Barito and Magetan districts was running in an orderly and smooth manner, as well as a high level of voter attendance.

In the implementation of the PSU in Siak Regency, Riau Province, a collection and vote count was carried out on 3 polling stations according to the Constitutional Court's decision, namely TPS 3 Buantan Besar, Polling Station 3 Jayapura and Polling Station 902 Special Locations.

"Of the 3 polling stations, the voter participation rate is 85.90 percent, with the number of Voters in DPT and DPTb 1,007 and 865 voters with voting rights users," he said.

Meanwhile, PSUs in West Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, have collected and counted votes on 4 polling stations according to the Constitutional Court's decision, namely TPS 01, 02, 03, and 04 Sinar Manik Villages, Jebus District, West Bangka Regency.

Of the 4 polling stations, the voter participation rate is 76.31 percent, with the number of Voters in DPT and DPTb 2.081 and voter rights users at 1,588 voters.

Furthermore, at the PSU in North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, a vote has been collected and counted on 2 polling stations in accordance with the Constitutional Court's decision, namely TPS 1 Melayu Village and TPS 4 Malawaken Village.

Of the 2 polling stations, the voter participation rate is 87.65 percent, with the number of Voters in the DPT and DPTb 1,166 and voter rights users at 1,022 voters.

Finally, PSU in Magetan Regency, East Java Province, has collected and counted votes at 4 polling stations in accordance with the Constitutional Court's decision, namely TPS 1 and Polling Station 4 Kinandang, TPS 1 Nguri and TPS 9 Selotinatah.

Of the 4 polling stations, the voter participation rate was 88.67 percent, with the number of Voters in the DPT and DPTb 2,118 and users of the voting rights being 1,878 voters.
