ASDP Closes Ketapang And Gilimanuk Ports During Nyepi

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) will close Ketapang Port, Banyuwangi, East Java and Gilimanuk Port, Bali during Nyepi Day 2025, which coincides with the peak of the Eid homecoming flow.

ASDP President Director Heru Widodo said he had coordinated with the National Police, the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) and also the local government regarding the closure of the two ports during Nyepi.

"We have decided that on March 28, we will temporarily close the Ketapang Port. That is at 17.00 WITA until the 30th, at 06.00 WITA. Because indeed the limit for implementing Nyepi Day is from 06.00 today, then until 06.00 the next day," Heru said at a press conference on the readiness of State-Owned Enterprises for Sea Transportation to welcome Eid 2025 reported by ANTARA, Thursday, March 13.

For Gilimanuk Port, it began to be deactivated at 05.00 WITA on March 29, 2025 and ended at 06.00 WITA on March 30, 2025.

Heru conveyed that this decision was taken to honor Hindus who perform Nyepi worship.

ASDP continued, will not provide services or sell tickets on March 28-30, 2025.

He appealed not to order tickets on these dates. However, if anyone has continued to buy, then ASDP will return consumer money or reschedule without additional fees.

"For people who bought it yesterday, later we will refund so that we ask to change the other crossing schedule," he said.

ASDP estimates that the peak of the homecoming flow will take place on March 28, 2025, while the backflow will take place on April 5, 2025.

In the Lebaran 2025 period, ASDP is ready to operate 68 piers, 203 ships (59 ASDP and 144 non-ASDP regulars). This year, it is predicted that there will be 4,564,406 passengers and 1,130,496 vehicles.
