Thousands Of Online Ojol And Couriers Will Demo In Front Of The Ministry Of Manpower Office, This Is Their Demand

JAKARTA - Thousands of online motorcycle taxis (Ojol), online couriers and online taxis will demonstrate in front of the Jakarta Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) Office on Monday, February 17.

They come with 3 demands, collect holiday allowance promises (THR), take driver pieces and delete slot and Aceng services. In the demonstration, these online services carried the theme "Shut Up and Fall Or Rise Up Against".

The demonstration is planned to take place from 10:00 WIB.

Responding to this demonstration, the Central Jakarta Metro Police deployed 1,623 joint officers divided into several demonstration points.

"In order to secure the expressing of opinions from a number of alliances, we involved 1,623 joint personnel," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, Monday, February 17.

A total of 1,623 joint personnel were also deployed to guard other demonstrations from a number of alliances and BEMs throughout Indonesia (SI) at the Horse Statue, Monas, Central Jakarta.

Kombes Susatyo said the joint personnel were from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Central Jakarta, TNI, Pemda DKI and related agencies.

Later, personnel will be placed at a number of points around the Monas Horse Statue roundabout in front of the State Palace.

For traffic diversion, Kombes Susatyo said it was still situational. This means that traffic flow engineering will be implemented to see the development and dynamics of the situation in the field.

"We will see later the number of masses, if later around the Monas Horse Statue roundabout, the mass is quite large and the escalation increases, then the flow will be diverted," he said.

The police chief appealed to residents who would pass around Monas to find alternative roads to avoid the accumulation of vehicles around the Horse Statue.
