Police In Bali Find New Circulation Mode Of Cement-cored Methamphetamine Packages

DENPASAR - Denpasar Police, Bali, discovered a new mode of narcotics trafficking in Bali, by distributing methamphetamine packages by casting cement.

This was done by the perpetrator with the initials AM (25) and this was done by the perpetrator so as not to be caught by the authorities.

"This method is the first time we have found it in Bali. The suspect uses cement," said Head of the Denpasar Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, AKP Muhammad Rizky Fernandez, Friday, February 7.

"This mode aims to avoid the detection of the apparatus and protect the shabu-shabu that is circulated so as not to be exposed to water," he added.

The perpetrators of AM who worked as a motorcycle taxi driver were secured on Dewi Sri II Street, Legian Kaja, Kuta District, on Friday, (31/1). The police confiscated 5.97 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

"The suspect took the initiative to cast the crystal methamphetamine himself and get a salary of Rp. 50 thousand every time he circulates it," he said.

In addition, the Denpasar Police Narcotics Unit in the 2025 Antiquities Operation which lasted 16 days managed to arrest 35 drug abuse perpetrators.

Of these, 33 were male and 2 were female.

This operation revealed a total of 30 cases, with 14 of them being operational targets, while 16 others were non-operational cases.

Of the total 35 suspects, 11 people were identified as drug dealers.

"This is a warning to drug offenders. We will continue to hunt them down. There is no place for drug trafficking in the jurisdiction of the Denpasar Police," he said.

The evidence confiscated was 3.9 kg of marijuana, 2,041.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 125 pills of ecstasy.
