Employees Admit Guilty Of Delivering Their 2 Day Old Baby At The Restaurant Where She Works In Malaysia

JAKARTA - An employee in Malaysia admitted that he was guilty of neglecting his 2-day-old baby at the restaurant where he worked at the trial at Malaysia's Majistret Court today, Friday, February 7.

Quoting Bernama, Nor abandoned his baby girl at a restaurant in Rama Village, Sanglang at 06.30 am, January 19, 2025.

The indictment against Nor was framed under Article 317 of the Criminal Code and can be punished under the same article which stipulates a maximum prison sentence of seven years or a fine or both if found guilty.

In this trial the defendant was represented by a lawyer from the National Legal Aid Foundation (YBGK), Siti Hajar Che Ahmad.

Public prosecutor Tengku Ruqayyah Tengku hopes that the court will set a new date for the submission of chemical and forensic reports related to this case.

The panel of judges then set March 19 for the submission of documents and allowed the defendant to pay a guarantee of RM6,000 with one guarantor.
