Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) Michael Rolandi Cesnanta Brata said the DKI Provincial Government is preparing budget efficiency in the DKI Regional Budget, as instructed by President Prabowo Subianto.
The central government plans that budget efficiency will be used to cover the funding needs of free nutritious food programs (MBG), such as the addition of the number of MBG kitchens or the location of the nutritional fulfillment service unit (SPPG).
"The DKI Provincial Government is committed to being able to build 153 SPPGs in 2025, but we will certainly follow the policies of the Central Government. If we are assigned, we will take the funds from there," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) Michael Rolandi Cesnanta Brata to reporters, Tuesday, January 28.
In addition to funding for the needs of the MBG program, the DKI Provincial Government also plans to prepare funding for Pramono Anung-Rano Karno's flagship programs after being inaugurated as Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta.
"As with the 35 points of the Governor's quick win priority program, including free breakfast, then there are several posts that we need to prepare in order to increase existing budgets, for example for RT operational costs, dasawisma, and so on," explained Michael.
According to Michael, the budget cuts will be included in the unexpected expenditure post (BTT), for further budget shifts.
In total, there are 5 budget posts that will be disabled. Among them are official travel costs, for all regional apparatus organizations (OPD). The plan, business travel spending will be reduced by 50 percent to Rp175 billion.
The DKI Provincial Government will also reduce the allocation of ceremonial activity expenditures such as comparative studies, seminars, and printing printing.
Then, the reduction is also done in supporting spending and does not have measurable output.
"For example, such as hotel rental spending, car rentals, office operational spending, maintenance spending, and equipment procurement capital expenditure, it is also requested for OPDs to be identified for savings," explained Michael.
Furthermore, spending on food and drink in guest banquet activities or working meetings of the DKI Provincial Government will also be reduced from the original budget of IDR 727 billion.

"Food and drink spending, if we average almost the same as official trips at 50 percent, maybe we can save more than Rp. 300 billion," explained Michael.
Then, the DKI Provincial Government will also cut the grant budget that will be given to ministries or government agencies, either in the form of goods or services.
