MEDAN - Medan City has again entered the red zone for the spread of COVID-19. Whereas previously, the status of Medan City had dropped to the orange zone.

When he was asked whether the COVID-19 Task Force would limit the number of visitors, Mardohar said he had not received an order to restrict visitors.
"I have no orders yet, my job is to carry out P3T. If there is a case we go down, that's an important task of the Task Force", he said.
He emphasized that the COVID-19 Task Force has repeatedly taken to Kesawan City Walk.
"It does cause a crowd, it's so certain. Young people, there's nothing we can do, if we tell them to leave that night, great. They get out of there and then they get together again outside. So it's worthless, if we limit the number of visitors, the merchants won't sell well", he said.
He ensured that the COVID-19 Task Force would continue to encourage the implementation of health protocols in the area.
"The solution is that we continue to struggle to deliver the health protocols. However, we don't have the right to punish people or what are we to do more harshly, we don't know which way. Everyone goes down, the national army (TNI) comes down, the police come down, it's called the Task Force", he explained.
Regarding the crowd at Kesawan City Walk, the Governor of North Sumatra, Edy Rahmayadi said that today his party will have a meeting with Medan City Government.
"Today, we have a meeting with Medan City Government. Because of that, we will ask why", said Governor Edy.
