Speaking in a panel discussion entitled "Navigating Asia's Hotspot" which is part of The World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2025 in Davos, Switzerland this week, Foreign Minister Sugiono expressed Indonesia's desire to work together and collaborate in all regions.
"Indonesia wants to garner cooperation and collaboration with neighboring countries, friendly countries in the region, and the global community. We will advance a constructive approach," said Foreign Minister Sugiono, in a statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saturday, January 25.
Apart from Foreign Minister Sugiono, the panelists in the discussion were the President of Timor-Leste, the Chair of the Philippine Parliament, the President of the think-tank Council on Foreign Relations and the leadership of the Zurich Insurance Group Asia Pacific.
Foreign Minister Sugiono further explained that Indonesian diplomacy under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto would be directed to realize the mandate of the Indonesian Constitution, including safeguarding the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia and realizing prosperity for the people of Indonesia.
"The prerequisite for growth is peace and stability. That is why, Indonesia is open to working together, because we have an obligation to support national priorities and serve the Indonesian people," explained Foreign Minister Sugiono.
