Police Repatriate 11 Children Involved In Online Prostitution To Parents, 3 Of Whom Are Obliged To Report

JAKARTA - The police have returned 11 girls, including students who were previously arrested from a hotel, suspected of being involved in an online prostitution case via MiChat, in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi (Southeast Sulawesi), to their respective parents.

"They have been sent home to their parents after being assessed by the Social Service," said Baruga Police Sector Chief (Kapolsek) AKP Gusti Komang Sulastra when interviewed via WhatsApp on Sunday.

He said, of the 11 women, three of them are obliged to report. The 11 teenagers were sent home to get guidance by their parents, so that they did not get involved in the wrong activities.

Previously, the personnel of the Baruga Police, during the Concentrated Operation (community disease) on Tuesday, April 6, arrested 11 girls in the Grand DDNS Hotel room located on Jalan Budi Utomo, Mataiwoi Village, Wuawua District, Kendari City, allegedly waiting for a nose man striped.

A total of 11 children, including TT (17), are students from Kendari City; EL (17) student status from Kendari; AA (18) status of a student from Kolaka Regency; DO (17) is not a student from Kendari; and A (17) students from Kendari.

Next, NW (20) is not a student from Kendari; H (20) is not a student from Konawe Islands Regency; EF (20) is not a student from Kendari; WA (21) is not a student from Kendari; WD (18) is not a student from Kendari, and TJ (19) is not a student from Kendari.

The results of the examination of the 11 children, two of them with the initials TT (17) and AA (18) told investigators that the hotel owner with the initials AR, once offered to serve foreign nationals (WNA) from China to them, then they were given Rp. 500 thousand by the hotel owner. .

"It is true that there are those who claim to be like that. We make it a reference, only to determine the suspect, we need additional evidence," Gusti said.

His party has only obtained one piece of evidence, namely information from the children, but they have forgotten when the incident happened and the proof of the transaction money.

Regarding this case, the police have conducted an examination of the owner of the Grand DDNS Hotel initials AR (40) where the 11 children were found.

"Investigators are still gathering evidence," said Gusti.
