Dharma Pongrekun's Message To Pramono Anung: No More Pandemic In Jakarta

JAKARTA - Candidate for Governor of Jakarta number 2 Dharma Pongrekun revealed his request to the elected Governor of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada, Pramono Anung. Dharma asked Pramono to try not to happen again in Jakarta.

This was expressed in his remarks at the plenary meeting to determine the elected candidate pair for Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta held by the General Election Commission (KPU) of DKI Jakarta.

"To the elected pair, the elected Governor, we ordered and entrusted the people's hopes so that there would be no further pandemic in Jakarta," said Dharma at the Pullman Hotel, Central Park, West Jakarta, Thursday, January 9.

In addition, Dharma also asked Pramono to allow Jakarta residents who refuse to be vaccinated. Dharma hopes that in the future the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can maintain the right to refuse.

"All Indonesian people today heard that in other provinces, please, but because Mr. Pramono Anung is my brother whom I respect, I leave it seriously," said Dharma.

On the one hand, Dharma asked Pramono-Rano (Doel) to keep Jakarta's air clean and unpolluted. In fact, Dharma is ready to help clean Jakarta's air. Because, according to him, there was air pollution engineering that occurred in Jakarta.

"I know who pollutes the weather in Jakarta so that it always rains but it's not evenly distributed. There is poison in the air, sir. I have to tell you. What is the goal? So that many are hospitalized," said Dharma.

Dharma hopes that the aspirations of the people entrusted to him can be considered by Pramono-Rano to formulate policies in the next five years of government, including concerns regarding air pollution engineering.

"I dare say this. I apologize to the Bawaslu KPU, Kapolda, Pangdam and everything here, the Provincial Information Commission, this March concerns the safety of our family's souls," he explained.

The DKI Jakarta KPU officially appointed Pramono Anung and Rano Karno as the elected Governors of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada. This was stated in a plenary meeting to determine the elected candidate pair for the 2024 DKI Jakarta gubernatorial election.

This is stated in the Decree of the DKI Jakarta KPU Number 9 of 2025 concerning the Determination of the Candidate Pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of the Elected Province of the Special Region of Jakarta in 2024 which was read by the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta KPU Wahyu Dinata.
