Satori Claims Member Of Commission XI Participates In Enjoying BI CSR Funds, KPK Chair: That's Opinion

JAKARTA - The chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Setyo Budiyanto, said that the investigation into the alleged corruption of the Social Responsibility Fund (CSR) Bank Indonesia (BI) must be in accordance with the evidence pocketed by investigators.

This was conveyed in response to a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the NasDem Party faction, Satori, who said that all members of Commission XI of the DPR RI participated in enjoying the money.

This statement came after the legislator was examined by investigators at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, December 27, 2024.

"That's an opinion. Everything is based on the results of the examination," Setyo told reporters quoted on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

Setyo said Satori submitted his claim to the public.

"However, what is used as a benchmark, the guideline by the investigator is based on the results of the examination supported by other information, then the evidence obtained," he said.

Satori, when questioned by investigators, admitted that he used BI's CSR funds for his benefit in electoral districts (dapil). The money flows through the foundation and all members of the parliament Commission XI also accept it.

"Everything, really, all members of the XI program can get it. No, not just us," said Satori to reporters after undergoing examination.

Previously reported, the KPK is currently investigating allegations of corruption in the Social Responsibility Fund (CSR) of Bank Indonesia (BI).

No suspects have been named yet because the process uses a general investigation warrant (sprindik).

A VOI source said the generalized sprindik was published in the third week of December 2024.

There are no suspects in it, but two or even more have the potential to be charged after the search was carried out on Monday night, December 16, 2024.

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK, Rudi Setiawan, said that the alleged corruption arose because the money that should have been enjoyed by the community actually flowed to the foundation was not clear. Thus, the state loses because the budget spent is quite large.

"So, BI has CSR funds and then a few percent of it is given to those who are not proper, more or less," Rudi told reporters at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 17, 2024.
