Before The LGBT Bar At ITC Permata Hijau Was Permanently Closed, Residents And Managers Had Mediation

North Grogol Village Head Muhammad Rasyid admitted that his party had received complaints about LGBT group activities at Bar New La Bunker or Bunker Bar, within Grand ITC Permata Hijau, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta (Jaksel), since December 2024.

"December, there has been an incident related to parking or commotion between visitors. But residents are restless, so they have started to protest," Rasyid told reporters at Grand ITC Permata Hijau, Monday, January 6.

Not long after, the residents suspected that there was an LGBT activity in that place. So they demanded to close the nightclub.

"From the residents, he found that there was an LGBT practice. So he insisted on closing the place," he said.

Furthermore, the sub-district conducted mediation and invited community leaders to managers of nightclubs.

"Mediation at the sub-district level. As a result, at that time, the tenants were ready to close their operations and the ITC was ready to facilitate it," he said.

Representative of Karang Taruna, North Grogol Village, Destra said the first mediation was carried out in December. He said the first mediation did not meet a common ground, because the night entertainment management asked for compensation, because they had already paid for their contracts to ITC for 2 years.

"So that party wants to close if the contract money is returned in full from the local party, namely ITC. Because there is still a 2-year contract. If the rest problem I don't know, it's the management party. It's not us. We don't know," he said.
