Police Penodong In Kemayoran Accuses Victim Of Having An Affair With His Girlfriend

JAKARTA - A man with a sharp weapon was arrested by security forces and online motorcycle taxi driver (ojol) after carrying out an action against members of the Mampang Prapatan Police in the Jalan Letjen Suprapto area, Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

The perpetrators along with the evidence were then handed over to the Kemayoran Police. From the results of the examination, the perpetrator is known to have the initials MDR and is unemployed.

Kemayoran Police Chief Kompol Agung said the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday. That night, the witness who is a member of the Mampang Prapatan Police Station was heading back to his home in the Sumur Baru area, Kemayoran.

Brigadier RI headed to the house after serving at the Mampang Prapatan Police. However, when they passed by the scene, suddenly the Mampang Prapatan Police were grabbed by two perpetrators riding a motorbike.

"The perpetrator accused him of having an affair with his girlfriend, but it turned out to be the wrong target. So the police officer was the victim of the wrong target," said Kompol Agung when confirmed, Monday, January 6.

Then the perpetrator took out the kitchen knife which he brought to the witness. Quickly, the witness immediately took out pepper at the perpetrator.

"The perpetrators were two people riding together. While in action, the perpetrator was drunk with alcohol. The perpetrator of the MDR was arrested, the perpetrator's friend fled. The evidence confiscated was a kitchen knife," he said.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrator was charged with the Emergency Law regarding possession of sharp weapons.
