Densus 88 Captures A Suspected Terrorist From Jakarta Network

JAKARTA - Densus 88 Counterterror captured a suspected terrorist named Saiful Basri aka BS who was previously on the people search list (DPO). He is suspected of being a terrorist network of DKI Jakarta.

"I justified the arrest of terrorists on behalf of Saiful", Head of General Information Section Division of Public Relations of The National Police, Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan told reporters on Thursday, April 15.

However, Ramdhan did not elaborate on the location of the arrest. He only mentioned this suspected terrorist was arrested this morning.

"(The arrest) was around 6 a.m.", he said.

Previously reported, Densus 88 Counterterror re-published a search list of people (DPO) two suspected terrorists. They are a suspected terrorist network of DKI Jakarta.

Based on DPO data, both are residents of South Jakarta. They have the initials SN and SB.

Both are subjected to Article 15 jo Article 7 jo Article 9 of Law Number 5 of 2018 concerning amendments to Law Number 15 of 2003.

To date, Densus 88 Antiterror has arrested 12 suspected terrorists in DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas. They include HH, ZA, AJ, BS, WJ, NAA, AN, DK, AK, AP, NF, and W.
