The Search For 15 Missing Crew Members Of KM Aspac 3 Who Drowned Was Expanded To Fakfak West Papua

JAKARTA - The search operation for 15 crew members (ABK) KM Aspak 3 which sank in the waters between Seram Island, Central Maluku, and Misol, Raja Ampat Regency, Southwest Papua, was extended to the waters of Fakfak Regency, West Papua.

"The search is still ongoing and has spread towards Fakfak," said Head of the Sorong SAR Office, Monce Brury in Sorong, West Papua, Wednesday, December 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

His party has also received assistance from the Tual KPLP fleet, which is currently conducting searches in Seram waters.

"Until now, the search results are still nil," he said.

However, his party continues to make efforts to search both from Bula to Misol Island and its surroundings.

"The boat's carcass has not yet been found whether it sank or was washed away," he said.

He admitted that on the first day of searching, he only found debris and kulboks and life jackets in the middle of the sea.

Previously, KM Aspak 3 sank in the waters between Seram Island and Misol, which resulted in 15 crew members being missing, two others being found safe.

List of 15 crew members who are in search of efforts consist of Ekman Kanighi (nahhoda), Anis Nuride, Aepner Nuride, Bob Warere, Deki Kapisa, Diki Saidora, Dodi Djabu, Hendrian Yustus, Jekson Mananggel, Maikel Rumambi, Philips Aope, Riko Rumabar, Risno Sangaji, Sepi Bowairi and Badminton Awom.
