The North Sumatra High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati North Sumatra) has detained two new suspects in the alleged corruption case in the procurement of trolley management systems, smart airports, and smart parking at PT Angkasa Pura II, Kualanamu Airport Branch Office, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.

"Today, North Sumatra Special Prosecutor's Office investigators detained two new suspects, after previously five suspects were arrested," said Head of North Sumatra Attorney General's Office, Adre Wanda Ginting, Tuesday, December 10.

The two suspects are LD, President Director of PT Lusavindra Jayamadya, and Y, Director of PT Dinamika Utama Indonesia. The detention was carried out because the investigative team had pocketed at least two pieces of evidence and was worried that the suspects would run away, destroy evidence, or repeat the crime.

"The two suspects will be detained at the Medan Class I Detention Center for 20 days, from 10 to 28 December 2024," explained Adre.

This case originated from allegations of abuse of authority in the procurement of goods and services involving a number of parties, including subcontractors of PT Lusavindra Jayamadya and PT Dinamika Utama Indonesia.

PT Lusavindra Jayamadya handles various projects such as smart airports, AOCC, taxi queuing, digital banners, information stalls, and war rooms, with project values reaching Rp34.3 billion.

Meanwhile, PT Dinamika Utama Indonesia is responsible for the work of the Water and Temperature Management System, which was subcontracted with a value of Rp. 19.22 billion without written approval from PT Angkasa Pura II.

The results of an audit from the Public Accounting Office (KAP) and IT Polytechnic Medan experts found state losses of Rp3.71 billion due to inflated bid prices and estimated price manipulation (HPS). In addition, the software that should have belonged to PT Angkasa Pura Solusi was actually accepted by PT Lusavindra Jayamadya.

Another loss of more than IDR 797 million was found in the ***Water and Temperature Management System project, with some equipment not functioning or considered total loss.

The suspects were charged with Article 2 Paragraph (1) Subsidiary Article 3 jo. Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001.

This legal process is expected to be a firm step in eradicating corrupt practices within strategic SOEs.
