Prabowo Considers Miftah Maulana's Decision To Resign A Knight's Attitude: He Is Aware, He Said Wrongly

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto respects Miftah Maulana Habiburrahman's decision to resign from his position as Presidential Special Envoy, and calls this attitude a chivalrous attitude.

"I haven't seen it myself, but I got a report that he has resigned, my comments, I think it is an act of responsibility, the action of the knights, he is aware, he said it was wrong, he was responsible and he resigned, I think we respect the chivalrity attitude," Prabowo said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 6.

Prabowo said he knew Miftah as a figure who often hangs out and gives lectures to the public.

"Maybe his language of intent is not evil, not insulting, but regardless it's wrong, it's wrong. He realized he was wrong, he resigned, I think that's clear," Prabowo said.

The Head of State said that rarely in Indonesia does someone feel wrong and then take responsibility and resign.

"So we respect it. But yes, he realized he was wrong," said Prabowo.

Prabowo admitted that he would look for a replacement for Miftah as the Presidential Special Envoy for Religious Harmony and the Development of Religious Facilities.

Previously, Miftah Maulana decided to resign from her position as Presidential Special Envoy Prabowo Subianto for Religious Harmony and the Development of Religious Facilities.

The decision was conveyed by Miftah at a press conference at Ora Aji Islamic Boarding School, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, Friday.

"Today, with all humility and sincerity, and with full awareness, I would like to convey a decision that I have thought deeply. After praying, praying, praying, and istighfar, I have decided to resign from my duties as the Presidential Special Envoy for Religious Harmony and the Development of Religious Facilities," said Miftah.

Miftah with a trembling voice said that the decision was not due to pressure or requests from anyone, but was based on deep love, respect, and responsibility to President Prabowo Subianto and the entire community.

As a preacher and servant of the people, Miftah said that service to the nation and state is not limited to one position and position, but includes various efforts wherever it can provide benefits.
