Corruption Of House DP Rp0, 2 Company Bosses Sued 7-9 Years In Prison, Replacement Money Rp224 Billion

JAKARTA - Two private company bosses were charged with imprisonment for 7 years and 9 years related to the alleged corruption case in land acquisition in Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta for a down payment (DP) program of IDR 0 of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

The two private officials, namely the Director of Operations of PT Adonara Propertindo Tommy Adrian as well as the owner of the benefits and President Director of PT Adonara Propertindo Rudy Hartono Iskandar, were sentenced to 7 years and 9 years in prison, respectively.

"We demand that the panel of judges declare that the defendants have been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act of corruption jointly," said Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Fahmi Idris while reading the indictment in a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court. reported by ANTARA, Friday, December 6.

The prosecutor assessed that the defendants violated Article 2 Paragraph (1) of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code (KUHP), as stated in the first indictment.

In addition to imprisonment, the two defendants were also charged with a fine of Rp. 300 million each, provided that if the fine was not paid, it would be replaced with imprisonment for six months.

Specifically for Rudy, the Public Prosecutor demanded that the owner of the benefits of PT Adonara Propertindo be subject to additional penalties in the form of payment of replacement money amounting to Rp224.21 billion.

If Rudy is unable to pay the replacement money for one month after the decision has permanent legal force, said the prosecutor, then his property can be confiscated by the prosecutor and auctioned off to cover the replacement money.

"In the event that the defendant does not have sufficient assets to pay the replacement money, he will be replaced with imprisonment for five years," said the prosecutor.

In the case of alleged corruption in land acquisition for the Rumah DP program of Rp. 0 of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, Tommy and Rudy were charged with joint corruption or abuse of authority, causing a total loss of state finances of Rp. 256.03 billion.

Both are suspected of committing corruption with former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya (PPSJ) Yoory Corneles.

In the corruption case, Yoory is suspected of enriching himself by Rp31.82 billion, while Rudy is suspected of enriching himself worth Rp224.21 billion, which is the cause of state financial losses.
