The Armed Criminal Group Monitors Air Lines, Residents Of Beoga Papua District Begin To Be Threatened, Food Supplies Are Enough Only For 3-4 Days

PAPUA - Food supplies in Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Papua Province are currently only sufficient for the needs of the next three to four days.

This is considering the disconnection of air transportation lines after the shooting led to the deaths of two teachers by the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB). No planes or helicopters flew to the site.

"It is true that the supply of foodstuffs in Beoga is reduced because there are no incoming planes", said Beoga Police Chief Ipda Ali Akbar when contacted by Antara from Jayapura, Tuesday, April 13.

The last entry of the plane, continued Police Chief Ali Akbar, during the evacuation of the two bodies of the teacher.

"The plane also did not carry logistics so the residents survived with the existing foodstuffs", Ali Akbar said.

In Beoga, there are 12 large and small stalls but their supplies are also running low.

He explained that it is not easy to land at Beoga airfield because before landing the plane must fly north, which is currently the hiding place of the KKB.

"The entrance to Beoga airfield must go through the north side where the KKB hides so that when the aircraft is low when it is about to land it can be the target of gunfire", said the Police Chief.

He admitted that the airport was already controlled by the KKB, but the entrance to the airfield had to go through the north so that the pilot was afraid to fly to Beoga.

To reach the location is quite difficult because it is at an altitude so easily the KKB shoot when members of the Police/the National Army (TNI) to the location.

When asked about the displaced people, Beoga Police Chief claimed that the displaced in the police recorded three people, in Sub-District Military Command (koramil) it is eight people and as many as 31 people chose to stay in their house but it is located near the koramil.

The shooting of the KKB in Beoga District, Puncak District left two people dead, Oktovianus Rayo, who was shot Thursday, April 8, and Yonatan Renden, who was shot on Friday, April 9.
