Semarang City KPU Sets Agustin-Iswar To Win The Regional Head Election

The commissioners of the Semarang City General Election Commission (KPU) when signing the minutes of the plenary meeting of the recapitulation of the 2024/ANTARA Semarang City Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) count.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of Semarang City has determined the candidate pair for mayor and deputy mayor Agustina Wilujeng Pramestuti-Iswar Aminuddin as the winner of the 2024 Semarang City Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

The determination was made by the Chairman of the Semarang City KPU Ahmad Zaini, during the Open Pleno Meeting of the Recapitulation of the Results of the Calculation of Votes and Determination of the Results of the Central Java and Semarang Regional Elections, in Semarang, Thursday, December 5.

Based on the recapitulation of vote count, the Agustina-Iswar pair won 486,423 votes or 57.24 percent, while the Yoyok Sukawi-Joko Santoso pair got 363,331 or 42.76 percent.

"We at the KPU Semarang City have determined or have carried out plenary sessions in which the governor and deputy governor (voting recapitulation) after the mayor and deputy mayor. So, it has been ratified," Zaini said as quoted by ANTARA.

For the 2024 Central Java Governor and Deputy Governor Election (Pilgub), the results of the recapitulation of vote count in Semarang City place the Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi alias Hendi pair as winners.

The candidate pair for governor and deputy governor of Andika-Hendi won 569,186 votes or 65.99 percent, while the pair Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin Maimoen won 293,342 votes or 34.01 percent.

"After this, because the mayor and deputy mayor only arrived here, after this we have determined, continue to process. If there is no lawsuit, we will also proceed to be sent to the governor and the Minister of Home Affairs to carry out the inauguration," he said.

Meanwhile, the results of the recapitulation of the Central Java Pilgub vote count, he said, will be sent directly to the provincial KPU to be recapitulated on December 7.

The 2024 Semarang City Pilkada was attended by two pairs of candidates for mayor and deputy mayor, namely Agustina Wilujeng Pramestuti-Iswar Aminuddin who were promoted by the PDI Perjuangan in number one.

Candidate number two, Yoyok Sukawi-Joko Santoso pair promoted by nine political parties, namely the Democratic Party, Gerindra Party, Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), National Awakening Party (PKB), National Mandate Party (PAN), Golkar Party, United Development Party (PPP), Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), and NasDem Party.
