A 3-year-old Boy Who Drowned In Krukut River, Depok, Found In Cengkareng River

JAKARTA - After conducting various search efforts for Muhammad Tofik (3) who had disappeared, he drowned in the Krukut River, Depok City, the joint SAR Team finally managed to find the victim in a dead condition.

The victim's body was swept away by the flow of water from the Depok area until it was found on the banks of the Cengkareng Drain river, Jalan Peddongkelan Raya, West Jakarta. The victim was found 31 kilometers from the scene.

"We together with the joint SAR element finally found the victim dead, we immediately evacuated to the funeral home," said the Commander of the Bogor SAR Alert Unit, Ahmad Nur Iman, Thursday, November 28.

The search for victims was carried out by a joint SAR team by conducting an EXplore SAR search from the scene.

A total of two teams conducted searches with a radius of up to 3 kilometers at the Limo Bridge, Depok, West Java.

Meanwhile, dozens of joint SAR personnel who were deployed in the search for victims consisted of the Bogor SAR Alert Unit, Brimob Kelapa Dua Depok, Brimob Kedung Halang, Cinere Police, Koramil Cinere, Cengkareng Police, DKI Jakarta BPBD, Kansar Jakarta and other SAR communities.

Previously, it was reported that a boy named Muhammad Tofik (3), a resident of Jalan Jambu, Depok, was reported missing and drowned in the Krukut River, Jalan Relis 8, Limo District, Depok City since last Wednesday, November 27.

As of Thursday, November 28 afternoon, the victim had not been found after a search effort was carried out by the joint SAR Team since yesterday.

The incident when the victim drowned began when the victim played with his friends in the fishing pool not far from the Krukut River.

At the time of the incident, the condition of the area was drizzling in rain. Suddenly, the victim was dragged by the current of the river. It is suspected that the victim fell into the river.
