Call Central Java No Longer Banteng Kandang, PDIP: But Social Assistance Cages And Chocolate Party!

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Deddy Sitorus admitted that currently Central Java (Central Java) is no longer a "bullet cage". In a sense, after decades of the majority of Central Javanese society became the basis of the PDIP mass, it is now the object of abuse of aid and intervention by the police.

This can be seen from the results of the quick count of the 2024 Central Java Pilkada. Where, the candidate pair for PDIP, Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi, lost to the pair Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin.

"Now all colleagues from today can call Central Java not a bull cage anymore, but as a social assistance cage and a parcok (brown party). So don't call Central Java a bull cage anymore, but as a social assistance cage and a parcok," said Deddy at the PDIP DPP office, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, November 28.

According to this member of Commission II of the DPR RI, Andika-Hendi's destruction was caused by the movement of police instruments through politicization of social assistance (bansos), to intimidation of residents, especially village heads.

Even so, Deddy claimed, the bull cage has now shifted to DKI Jakarta. This is because the Pramono Anung-Rano Karno pair claimed to have won one round with 50.07 percent of the votes.

"We won DKI Jakarta from Central Java, the PDI-P is now in the capital city of Jakarta. So there should be no more questions about bull cages," said Deddy.

On that occasion, Deddy revealed that currently there is a new cultural term that develops in the general election system in Indonesia. PDIP calls it Jokowism culture.

Deddy said that the term Jokowisme was an effort from the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, since he was still the President until he was no longer in office, to design general elections and regional head elections according to his interests.

In Jokoowism culture, Deddy said Jokowi mobilized the police apparatus's instruments to be able to run the dark side of democracy.

"What is the instrument used with Jokowism-style election politics? Of course something very big, strong network, has the ability to raise funds, raise certain groups that have become public knowledge. Now we know 'Brown Party'," explained Deddy.

Furthermore, Deddy emphasized, "Brown Party" as Jokowi's political instrument does not cover all of the police and only elements. However, he emphasized that this movement was already a command line.

"I think the key holder is (Kapolri) Listyo Sigit. He is responsible for the institutions he controls, which he leads. Which turns out to be part of our democratic damage. This is a responsibility that I think must be burdened with throughout history," explained Deddy.
