JAKARTA - The Central Java Nahdlatul Ulama (PWNU) Regional Management appreciates the participation of the community in the 2024 Central Java Pilkada which is considered conducive and shows maturity in politics.

The chairman of Tanfidziyah PWNU Central Java, Abdul Ghaffar Rozin, stated that the democratic process this time was an example for healthy and dignified political implementation.

"The active participation and maturity shown by all of us has been an extraordinary example in building a healthy and dignified democracy," Rozin said in his statement, Thursday, November 28.

In the 2024 Central Java Pilkada, public participation has increased. The Central Java KPU officially set a permanent voter list (DPT) for the 2024 gubernatorial election as many as 28,427,616 voters. This number increased by 138,203 voters compared to the 2024 Pilleg and Presidential Elections DPT.

PWNU Central Java also expressed its gratitude to the state apparatus, both civilian and military, who were considered successful in maintaining stability and security in Central Java during the Pilkada process.

According to Rozin, this peaceful atmosphere reflects the maturity of the people in democracy.

"This election proves that the people of Central Java (Central Java) are able to do politics carefully, accept differences in choice with full maturity and sincerity. After the results are determined, we will accept it gracefully for the common good," he said.

In his statement, Rozin reminded the elected candidate pairs to maintain the mandate given by the people.

PWNU hopes that new leaders can fulfill their campaign promises with full responsibility and integrity.

"We hope that the elected couple will be able to serve with dignity, realize their promises so that the people of Central Java really feel welfare and sustainable development," he said.

Rozin invites all elements of society to continue to maintain unity and harmony in building a better Central Java.

"Let's unite, maintain harmony, and together build a more advanced Central Java," he said.
