Many Democratic Cadres Participate In The 2024 Pilkada, AHY Immediately Guarded The Counting Of Votes At The Command Center

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development as well as Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) said that many cadres from his party participated in the 2024 simultaneous Pilkada contestation.

He also admitted that he would immediately monitor the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Democratic Party to oversee the calculation of the vote results.

"So, I will go to the Command Center, yes, at the Democratic Party Central Leadership Council. We also want this vote count to go well and once again free from bad things, yes," said AHY after voting at TPS 28 North Cipete Village, Kebayoran Baru District, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 27.

AHY explained that the Democratic Party cadres at least participated in contestations in 16 provinces throughout the country, of which there were 9 people as governor candidates (Cagub) and 9 people as deputy governor candidates (Cawagub).

Not only that, he said, many of the cadres from his party also fought in districts/cities. It is known, of the 508 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia, at least 229 Democratic Party cadres participated in the election contestation.

"Hopefully the chance of victory will be good too, please pray," said AHY.

Meanwhile, AHY advised that whoever the pair of candidates for governor of Jakarta who won in the 2024 Pilkada contestation could focus on realizing all the programs that exist in his campaign promises.

"Of course, to anyone who gets the mandate from the people, we wish him the best. We can really focus on realizing programs, including campaign promises that have been conveyed," he said.
