JAKARTA - In addition to meeting King Charles III, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and other state officials, President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto met with Larry the Cat.

Larry the Cat is a cat who lives in the residence and office of the British prime minister on London's Downing Street.

President Prabowo on Friday shared his photo with Larry the cat "pawjabat" on his Instagram account @prabowo.

"Meeting Larry the paint on 10 Downing Street, London, England," said the statement embedded in the photo upload, quoted via Antara, Friday, November 22.

Larry the Cat stayed on Downing Street 10 during the term of office of British Prime Minister David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, to Keir Starmer, current prime minister officials.

The 17-year-old cat, who has been treated by employees on Downing Street 10, has since 2011 dubbed the "Head of Rat Control" at the British prime minister's residence.

As of 10.00 WIB, President Prabowo's photo upload with Larry the Cat has been liked by more than 350 thousand people and commented on more than four thousand people on Instagram.

President Prabowo's interaction with Larry the Cat received many positive responses, including from singers, actresses, and presenters Tika Panggabean.

"Aaah, you love the animals so much, you feed me!!" Tika commented via the Instagram account @botikapanggabean on the upload on Prabowo's account.

Meanwhile Mulan Jameela, a singer who later became a politician, wrote "MashaAllah... Emeeesh" in the comments column.

There is also an Instagram account owner who reminded President Prabowo not to forget Bobby Kertanegara, the pet cat that has been accompanying him since 2017.

President Prabowo has a total of eight cats, including Bobby, according to the President's media team.
