Meeting With Jak Mania Chairman, Suswono Promises JIS To Become Persija's Home

Candidate Deputy Governor Suswono said he would regulate the use of the Jakarta International Stadium or JIS as the location for a music concert. Football Stadium is believed to be intended as Persija Jakarta's home base.

This answered a question raised by the General Chairperson of Jakmania, Diky Soemarno, during a discussion activity entitled Footballasa PerSatuan.

"What will Mr. Sus do if, for example, JIS cannot be used because of treatment, GBK cannot be used because it cannot be used by the national team. Now, as a government, what will Pak Sus do so that Persija can play in one of the two places?" asked Dicky, Wednesday, November 20.

"Yes, I said earlier that we already have JIS, right, it's a shame if we don't use it optimally. Therefore, if necessary, for example, the concert interferes with Persija's activities, using JIS as its home base, yes we don't need to get the term income from concerts," said Suswono.

Suswono said another way that could be applied so that JIS could still be used as a concert location but not interfere with Persija's activities.

For example, by rationing the use of JIS as a concert location in one year.

"Say, for example, or the concert can be arranged for the interval, it is regulated how many months it can be done, so that it doesn't interfere because every time it is a concert and then it is accepted, so it must be disturbed there," he explained.

"So, it's usually probably arranged in a year, for example, how many times, but we will definitely support more for how Persija can use this JIS as its home base," continued Suswono.

Not only that, Suswono also answered questions about collaboration that will be carried out by the Regional Government (Pemda) with Jak Mania.

According to him, one of the things that can be done is related to facilities and infrastructure for Jak Mania, namely providing free transportation for Persija Jakarta supporters.

"So there will be a special Jak Mania card later, so that's what you can say to ride the LRT or MRT is free like that. That's one of the supports that might be thrill for Jak Mania's friends," said Suswono.
