BENGKULU - Bengkulu Police, Bengkulu Province, arrested and named three minors as suspects for being involved in gangster members and carrying sharp weapons when they were about to do a brawl in Sewide District, Bengkulu City.

The three children who have been named as suspects are PR (16) and MR(16) residents of Bengkulu City and RA (15) residents of Central Bengkulu Regency.

"This arrest started with the patrol activities of the Samapta Polresta Bengkulu unit and received the situation where teenagers gathered. From checking members came to teenagers who were hanging out and identified potential vulnerabilities such as brawls between groups using sharp weapons," said Bengkulu Police Chief Kombes Pol Deddy Nata in Bengkulu City, Monday.

He said that initially there were two groups, namely a cheerful revenge group consisting of six people, namely LW (17), AH (15), TE (14), LP (16), PR (16) and MR (16).

Then the night ghost groups are AK (15), AP (16), AA (16), RZ (15), MY (16), RS (15), RA (16) and RA (15) while in Kelurahan Pekan Saturday, Sewide District, Bengkulu City.

Deddy said, based on the results of the examination, of the 15 people who were brought in, three of them were detained for carrying sharp weapons in the form of long machetes measuring 55 centimeters, mandates with a length of 25 centimeters, an iron barnekel with pointed ends, a resident of gray and a samurai unit with a length of 90 centimeters.

Meanwhile, 12 other people were trained and returned to their respective families while still being given assistance. Child perpetrators who carry sharp weapons are threatened with Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law number 12 of 1951 with the highest threat of 10 years in prison.
