King Charles III Becomes DJ At Apple Music! Play Bob Marley To Afrobeats At 'The King's Music Room'

JAKARTA - Apple Music 1 will present something special in the Commonwealth Day celebration on March 10. King Charles III will be the guest DJ at a special event titled The King's Music Room. The ruler of Great Britain will share stories about music and play selected songs from the Afrobeats genre, disco, reggae, to the 1930s era ballad.

The show will feature songs from well-known musicians such as Bob Marley, Kylie Minogue,RAYE, Davido, and Grace Jones. Apple Music confirmed that the program will be broadcast live on Monday, March 10 at 06.00 a.m. local time at Apple Music 1, and will be available for playback on Apple Music 1 and Apple Music Hits until Tuesday.

In his official statement, King Charles III revealed how much music played in his life.

"Throughout my life, music has a very important meaning to me, and I know this also applies to many others," said King Charles III.

According to him, music has an extraordinary ability to generate old memories, provide comfort during grief, and take listeners to remote places.

"However, perhaps the most important thing is that music can raise our spirits, especially when it brings us together in celebration. In other words, music brings happiness," he added.

The King's Music Room will be one of the special programs offered by Apple Music 1, known as guest DJ ranks from various circles, including musicians and world celebrities.

Interestingly, live broadcasts from Apple Music 1 can be enjoyed for free through the Apple Music application without the need to subscribe. With the participation of King Charles III, this event is expected to attract attention not only to music fans, but also to those who want to see another side of the figure of the King of England.
