Elementary School Students Peddled IDR 450 Thousand In Apartments, Deputy Governor Riza Considers Sanctions

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria responded to the case of elementary school students who were peddled in the practice of prostitution in Gading Nias Apartment, North Jakarta.

Reflecting on the case, Riza said it would consider the application of sanctions for apartment managers who allow the practice of prostitution.

"We invite apartment managers not only to profit from renting and buying and selling apartments. But make sure the environment is safe and away from places of prostitution. I think we need to consider sanctions. We will review it first", Riza said at Balai Kota DKI, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 8.

Riza claimed that the Provincial Government of Dki Jakarta has repeatedly reminded that the residential manager cleans his neighborhood from prostitution activities. Unfortunately, the practice is still happening. In fact, nowadays elementary school students are also peddled. Therefore, the consideration of sanctions is expected to be a solution.

"The managers, we have also said many times before, we have the same responsibility to look after our children including in the apartment, do not become victims of prostitution", he said.

On Thursday, March 11, 2021, the Kelapa Gading Police Criminal Unit raided an online prostitution practice involving minors in Gading Nias Apartment, Kelapa Gading.

In this case, a 12-year-old girl with an initial (AC) who was in the fifth grade of elementary school almost became a prostitute after being traded by an initial pimp (DF).

The woman was offered to men with striped noses through the MiChat App by (DF) by confirming the location of transactions in the Gading Nias Apartment. According to the confession, DF himself created the victim's account on MiChat by uploading photos of the victim and falsifying her age to 16 years old.

Then, in the application, it is written that the victim's services perform online prostitution services, namely in Gading Nias Apartment. Air conditioning is offered to men with striped noses amounting to IDR 450,000. From the tariff he installed, DF took a profit of IDR 150,000, the rest he gave to the victim.
