JAKARTA A massive evacuation is taking place in the cities of mainlandek, Lebanon, and surrounding cities following orders to vacate territory by Israel.

City Governor Bachir Khodr asked residents to go north and avoid taking refuge in ancient strongholds in the city because it is not safe.

"I encourage you to go to one of two destinations, Arsal or North Governor via the Ainata-Arz route. Please don't go to the fort, because it's not safe," Khodr said as quoted by CNN from the NNA news agency, Wednesday, October 30.

The governor's call was made after Israel ordered the entire city to be vacated.

The City ofECTorybek and the nearby cities of Douris and Ain Bourday witnessed a massive move to Jalan 47isebek-Zahle and Jalan 47isebek-Deir El Ahmar-Ainata-Arz to the north, NNA said.

An Arabic-language Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman, Avichay Adraee, said people in 47sebek should vacate the city via several highways, and warn residents of Hezbollah's whereabouts there.

"Israeli Defense Forces will act decisively against Hezbollah's interests in your city and village and have no intention of harming you," Adraee said.

Israel has ordered emptying in most villages and cities south of Lebanon, but this is the first time the entire city in northern Lebanon has been asked to flee.

One of the marked areas to be vacated is home to the ruins of the Romans, according to a map published by Adraee. Israeli evacuation orders were often followed by intense bombing military operations.
