Coordinating Minister For Food Zulhas Reports To Prabowo About Food Self-Sufficiency

Coordinating Minister (Menko) for Food Zulkifli Hasan or Zulhas reported to President Prabowo Subianto the results of his coordination with the relevant ministries regarding food programs and efforts to realize national food self-sufficiency.

"Reports in my field of course, the Coordinating Minister for Food. We have coordinated with the relevant ministries several times. We convey to the President what programs must be completed. And God willing, we can achieve the task of self-sufficiency in food in 2028-2029," said Zulhas after meeting President Prabowo at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Wednesday, October 30, confiscated by Antara.

Zulhas reported that the current food-related budget is IDR 139.4 trillion. The budget is spread across a number of ministries, including for village funds and local governments.

Presiden Prabowo Subianto meminta seluruh kementerian terkait untuk mendukung Kementerian Agricultural sebagai sektor unggulan dalam mengejar target self-sumbada pangan dalam kurun waktu tiga sampai empat tahun.

"All ministries are asked to support everything needed by the Ministry of Agriculture as its leading sector for us to pursue food self-sufficiency for the next three to four years," said Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi some time ago.

Prasetyo said that food self-sufficiency is a priority program that is the main concern for President Prabowo Subianto.

According to the President, Prasetyo, self-sufficiency in food is a must, considering that Indonesia is an agricultural country so it cannot depend on other countries.
