Prabowo Calls The Main Actor Online Gambling There Are Several People, Most Of Them Overseas

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto said he already knew about the main actors of online gambling in the country. There are a lot of them and they are said to have acted from abroad.

"I think there are not one main actor, two people, (there are, red) several people, many abroad and so on," Prabowo said in an exclusive interview with a media quoted on Monday, October 28.

Prabowo ensured that his government would be firm in eradicating online gambling. This is because this illegal activity is dangerous because it targets low-income people.

"Many people who get hit are low-income people who try. So we really have to try to eradicate it," said the former Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan).

In addition, online gambling makes the state lose money so it needs to be taken care of. This is already very dangerous because one, we have lost a lot of money, hundreds of trillions every year," he said.

"There is an estimate that even up to Rp 900 trillion (rupiah), this is extraordinary," continued Prabowo.

On that occasion, Prabowo also talked about his vision and mission going forward in addition to eradicating online gambling. Among them are related to the implementation of free nutritious eating programs, law enforcement to handling corruption.
