JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) noted that until the third quarter of 2024, 12 upstream oil and gas projects had been onstream from the target of 15 projects by the end of 2024.
With this achievement, at least the 2024 target has reached 80 percent.
Head of the SKK Migas Program and Communication Division, Hudi D. Suryodipuro, said the potential for addition and maintaining production of the 12 projects reached around 36,237 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and 300 million cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) as well as 192 metric tons per day (MTD) LPG.
"For upstream oil and gas projects that produce oil, among others, OPL Main PHE ONWJ with a capacity of 1,893 BOPD, Flowline ASDJ-116X PHE Ogan Kemering with a capacity of 94 BOPD and Banyu Urip Infill Classic Exxon Mobile Cepu Ltd with a capacity of 33,000 BOPD," said Hudi, Monday, October 28.
Hudi added, as for the gas project, which is already onstream are Peciko 88, SWG and Bekapai Artificial Lift Pertamina Hulu Mahakam with a capacity of 36 MMSCFD, an AFCP project with a capacity of 117 MMSCFD, Rowing Facility Optimization Medco Grissik with a capacity of 40 MMSCFD, South Sembakung Compressor Facility with a capacity of 22 MMSCFD, CO2 Project and DHU Karang Baru Field Pertamina EP with a capacity of 5 MMSCFD.
Meanwhile, there are 2 projects that produce gas and oil, namely Akatara Gas Plant Jadestone Energy with a gas capacity of 25 MMSCFD and oil 1,100 BOPD and LPT production of 192 MT/D.
Then Medco Natuna'sWest Eclipse project with a gas capacity of 55 MMSCFD and 150 BOPD oil.
"So the 12 projects provide additional or order oil production facilities of 36,237 BOPD and gas of 300 MMSCFD with a total investment of 277.4 million US dollars or around Rp. 4.36 trillion," explained Hudi.
Furthermore, Hudi added, upstream oil and gas projects in 2024 have achieved the expected results.

SKK Migas and KKKS continue to coordinate intensively to ensure the remaining three projects, namely the Medco Natuna Bronang Forel Project with an oil production capacity of 10,000 BOPD and gas 43 MMSCFD and the SP Puspa Asri EP oil project with a capacity of 600 BOPD and the Pertamina EP Pertamina compressor project with a capacity of 8 MMSCFD before the end of 2024.
"We hope to optimize the remaining time so that the remaining projects can be streamed more quickly, because the majority of projects that have not yet been streamed are oil, such as the Bronang Forel project which has the potential to provide additional production of 10,000 BOPD," said Hudi.
