Obscene 8 Santri For 3 Years, Ngaji Teacher In Gunungkidul Arrested

GUNUNGKIDUL - A Koran teacher with the initials S (31) was arrested by the Gunungkidul Police Criminal Investigation Unit after sexually abusing eight students over the past 3 years in Ngloro Village, Saptosari, Gunungkidul, DI Yogyakarta.

S's actions were revealed when one of the santri's guardians found out that his son was a victim while studying the Koran at the perpetrator's house.

"Initially there was information that at the place of the suspect's recitation, one of the children experienced sexual abuse, then the parents confirmed to their children, one of the children answered that they had been touched by their breasts and vital organs," said Head of the Gunungkidul Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Ahmad Mirza, Sunday, October 27.

After being arrested, the perpetrator admitted that he had committed sexual immorality by holding the vital parts of the students. Unmitigated, sexual abuse has been carried out in the last 3 years.

"Then the victim's parents reported it to the police," he said.

He said, of the eight students who were victims, only four people reported this obscenity. "The perpetrator is currently undergoing a mental examination considering the time span of the incident is quite long," he said.

The Head of the Protection of Women and Children (PPA) of the Gunungkidul Police, Ipda Rattri Ratnawati, said that the victims also received assistance so that they could recover physically and mentally.

"We provide assistance whether these children are traumatized or not, from school we also monitor whether it interferes with the learning process or not," he explained.

The perpetrators were charged with the Child Protection Act with a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.
