Update On COVID-19 As Of April 6: 4.549 New Cases. 4.296 Recovered Case

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 78.042 specimens were examined with the results of 4.549 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia reached 1.542.516 people and active cases rose to 114.566 cases", the Ministry of Health was quoted as saying, Tuesday, April 6.

Recovered cases today increased by 4.296 cases so that a total of 1.385.973 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 162 people and the total was 41.977 people.

The province with the newest cases is in West Java with 964 cases and a total of 254.419 cases. Followed by Central Java, which has 651 new cases with a total of 171.335 cases. DKI Jakarta has 487 new cases and a total of 387.476 cases. Then, East Java has 295 new cases and a total of 141.077 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to Central Java with an increase of 827 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 644 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 535 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 285 recovered cases.

There are five provinces that reported no new cases today. Provinces that reported zero new cases were East Nusa Tenggara, West Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo and West Sulawesi.

In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 13.036.151.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 17.83 percent", he wrote.

For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 61.242 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

To this day, there are 8.975,366 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 4.378.351 vaccines for the second dose. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40.349.051 people.
