JAKARTA - The poverty rate throughout Palestine has reached 74.3 percent in 2024. Even if humanitarian aid is delivered annually, the Palestinian economy will not return to its original state before Israel invaded Gaza.

Citing AFP, UNDP Head Achim Steiner said the high potential for the shadow of an economic crisis has even hit Palestine for more than a decade.
According to Steiner, amid economic uncertainty and life in Palestine, support from other countries is urgently needed with the aim of restoring the situation in the country that was the victim of the Israeli attack.
The report on the results of a study conducted by UNDP also explains that poverty in Palestine is at 38.8 percent in 2023.
However, in 2024 there were 2.61 million Palestinians who fell poor. Thus the total number of poor people in Palestine is 4.1 million this year.
