Acting Governor Of NTT: Free Nutrition Eating Program Starting January 1, 2025, Budget Is IDR 8 Trillion/Kahum

LABUAN BAJO - Acting Governor of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Andriko Noto Susanto said President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka's program, Free Nutrition Food, will be run on January 1, 2025, in the area.

"The Free Nutrition Eating Program is a priority program for the 100 days the Prabowo-Gibran administration has been prepared and starting January 1, we have started working on it," he said in Labuan Bajo as reported by ANTARA, Monday, October 21.

He explained that the program was launched to improve community nutrition in order to form a healthy, active and productive generation.

"One of the implementations is to feed our school children, children under five, pregnant and lactating mothers because it is the next generation of our nation that we hope will contribute to the 2045 golden generation," he said.

He explained that in the process of implementing the program based on information, there are as many as 749 service units throughout NTT that will be used to run the program with a budget of around Rp. 8 trillion every year.

"It is hoped that this is a trigger to move our BUMDes as one of its economical businesses, we hope that from the maximum local resources we have, then driven by BUMDes, purchased by the state and made to eat our people," he said.

When giving a face-to-face speech with the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkompinda) of West Manggarai Regency, Acting Governor of NTT explained that the program was carried out to empower BUMDes in villages and it was hoped that BUMDes would identify the needs of the program.

"BUMDes collaborate with farmers, breeders and fishermen there to collect raw materials which are then cooked and then distributed to the people," he said.
